Close the Rifts, Save the Galaxy
On a distant planet on the edge of the system a small colony is threatened by the appearance of mysterious tears in space, or rifts. Arc, a young scrapper looking for treasure, finds himself becoming a key part of the fight against those who would use their power to control the galaxy when he finds a mysterious device of unknown origin that has the power to contain these rifts.
Star Rift Saga is a modern take on the classic action-platformer genre, inspired by games like Super Metroid, Cave Story, Brave Fencer Musashi, and Castlevania. It combines dynamic platforming with light RPG elements and skill customization that allows you to upgrade your abilities to suit your playstyle.
Explore
Explore a vast and connected planet with secrets around every corner including vitality sparts, rocekt upgrades, power sparks, rifts, skill chips, minigames, and more. Unlock new areas as your abilities increase, allowing you to uncover new areas when you return to places you have already finished with.
Fight
Fight a wide variety of enemies and bosses by using every weapon and skill at your disposal. You’ll have to master quick platforming, dashes, flight, magnetic boots, and more advanced techniques if you want to succeed. Quickly switching between weapons in your arsenal is essential to keeping your offense going.
Collect
Find items and tools to use in the middle of the action to be ready for any situation. Managing your inventory is key to keeping your health and shields topped off, buffing your stats, and mitigating harmful status effects – all without breaking the flow of gameplay. There are also over 140 skill chips to find and collect throughout your journey.
Upgrade
Upgrade every part of your arsenal. Equip skill chips to customize your playstyle and gain a variety of skills and create synergies.
Your character isn’t the only thing that will grow over the course of your adventure! Rescue colonists from rifts to rebuild the colony and get help along your way. Selling items that you find to the shop will also upgrade its inventory and help rebuild.
